		<description>And the worst part of it all?  After all the hoopla about Peachtree being shut down for three days and the APD&#039;s &quot;attempts&quot; to prevent crane-climbing copycats, that&#039;s exactly what happened three days later when some other nutjob climbed halfway up a crane just a few blocks away from Carl&#039;s perch.  Fortunately, the second standoff lasted for a much shorter time, as police were able to lure the climber down with -- get this -- cigarettes and doughnuts.  Moral of that story: if you&#039;re a smoker and planning to climb a crane, it&#039;s probably a good idea to take your box of Nicorette patches up with you.
