So far, not many people are participating for whatever many reasons exist. It's kind of inevitable that us humans usually always end up doing what we're told in the end, one way or another. Our actions are defined by those above us, and by those above them. We have slowly stopped thinking for ourselves, and just live and think the things we're told and trained for. I do believe that we are more than capable of making a change in this world. People say it may be too late, but there are still great minds out there working on alternatives, researching new technologies, and developing ways to reduce emissions, and even eliminate them somehow! As time goes on, technology will advance, and with that, emissions will drop and start to eliminate. Go ahead, say that my hopes are just too high, but I believe it will happen, and I want to help make that so! Grrrrrrrr!
