Among a failing campaign a king appointed a new general. The general ordered all soldiers to carry three days of food. crossed the river and burned all ships. He set up his battalions with their back against the water. The enemy laughed. You don&#039;t set up formation against the water. 

The battalions fought fiercely and enemy was defeated. When asked the general said: &quot;Well no one believed in me. If there is a way out everyone would have run. I made sure everyone understood there is no way out.&quot;
